Some people always want to help others. Just so that they can feel better than they really are.
When I ran across this quote I found this to be so true, I know myself from personal experience. I grew up around a person who was very selfish, possessive amongst other things. The type of person whom only felt superior if they made others feel unequal. This type of treatment went on for years, and as the years past their ways became worst. They became verbally and physically abusive to their family members, as well as turned to substance abuse to aid their ways. Before long their family fail apart and the individual was left living a life alone, separated from everyone because everyone had become a victim of their harsh words and selfish attitude in some way. It took time but with it, the individual noticed the wrongs of their ways. In this world you'll get nowhere alone. So they began giving, sharing, offering not to everyone but individuals whom they felt they'd truly wronged. In reality you can give someone anything off the shelf, but love is not sitting next to it. Once you have truly wronged someone, they may forgive you if that is their choice, but many of things they will not forget. In other words charity is only truly accepted as charity, when nothing is linked to it. So when giving, give in good deed, good heart as an offer of sincere caring, expecting nothing in return, only then is it truly cherished.
